Easter Sunday
Arrived at the beach to find another day of strong onshore wind. Determined
to make up for some cowardly behaviour yesterday (see previous diary
entry), I rigged the 4.2 and F2 Ride once again, but this time with a
smaller fin (as recommended by Al).
Launched and got some good runs in, but struggled to get upwind. Went well
out of my depth to prove to myself I could do it, and 'made' myself do a
full on rig recovery waterstart to improve the confidence. Generally a
better day, but still did not make the most of the location.
Once again very pleased with my ability to manage on the smaller board (now
on its third trip out), both on and off the plane. Even managed a (very)
small, (very) untidy chop hop and a few carve gybe entries (although there
was never any danger of completing them!)
Now sat at work dreaming of the next chance to get on the water!
